AI consulting, reimagined.

Not external, but built-in. Right inside the platform.

7 min readUpdated 8 May 2026

Classic AI consulting agencies cost €25,000-€100,000 per project, and deliver a concept in the first 6 months, not a working system. Six months later the strategy is outdated, the team has seen no value, and the budget is gone. What you actually need is a platform that comes with built-in consulting: 'This is how AI works in your industry, here's the template, here's the wizard.'

The DACH AI consulting market is fragmented. On one side, classic large consultancies with high day rates and 6-12-month projects, designed for enterprises. On the other side, small AI agencies offering workshops for €5,000-€15,000 and ending with concepts you then have to implement yourself. What you as a DACH SMB really need is a third way: a platform that comes with built-in industry consulting. Specifically at Rinqo: 7 ready-made industry templates (medical practice, lawyer, tax advisor, trades, property management, real estate, hairdresser), a wizard guiding you through setup, and platform support for scaling, without engaging an external agency. Less AI strategy workshop, more setup wizard with built-in industry knowledge.

Rinqo replaces AI consulting with built-in consulting in the platform: 7 industry templates (doctor, lawyer, tax advisor, trades, property management, real estate, hairdresser) with pre-built use cases, wizard-guided setup process in 10 minutes, customer success team for scaling. Instead of €25,000 setup: from €99 net/mo. Instead of 6 months concept: productive from day 1.

Warum Rinqo?

Industry templates instead of strategy workshop

7 ready-made use-case templates for DACH SMB industries. No 'We analyze your processes', directly 'Here's the template that works in your industry'.

Wizard instead of consultant hours

Setup wizard guides through all steps: choose industry template, import knowledge base from your website, assign phone number or embed chat widget, test call. Under 10 minutes productive.

Platform support instead of project manager

On growth or new use cases, you get platform support directly in the dashboard, no new consulting contract, no statement of work, no hourly rate. Included in your tier.

Iterate instead of big-bang

You start with one use case (e.g. phone reception), see what works, then add other channels (chat, email) step by step. Learn while you build, instead of 6 months concept without feedback.

GDPR consulting included

Hetzner hosting, EU LLMs, DPA contract, AI Act disclosure, all configured by default. You don't have to engage a privacy lawyer for €5,000 to deploy compliant AI.

50x cheaper than agency

Classic AI consulting agencies bill €25,000-€100,000 per project. Rinqo Starter from €99 net per month, 25-100x cheaper with productive solution instead of concept.

Vorher. Nachher.

Ohne Rinqo

Classic AI consulting agency: €5,000 workshop + €25,000-€100,000 implementation project + 6-12 months runtime. End result is often a concept the SMB then has to implement themselves, additional costs and time.

Mit Rinqo

Rinqo platform-with-consulting: 7 industry templates from day 1, wizard setup in 10 minutes, customer success team included from Pro tier. From €99 net/mo instead of 5-figure flat fees, and you work productively from day 1.

When do you really need external AI consulting?

Clear answer: 80 percent of DACH SMBs don't need an external AI consulting agency. If your use case is 'automate phone reception', 'answer chat inquiries', 'triage email inbox' or 'take applicant calls', a platform with industry templates is the right path, faster, cheaper, more productive. External consulting is only really necessary when your use case is industry-atypical (e.g. your own ML model for a specific industrial application), when you want to deploy high-risk AI per EU AI Act Annex III (e.g. AI in medical diagnosis or automated recruiting selection), or when you want competitive differentiation through your own ML. For the other 80 percent, standard customer-service automation in a standard DACH industry, platform-with-consulting is the more pragmatic path. The trade-off is honest: less customized, but faster and cheaper.

Classic AI consulting, what you actually get

A classic AI consulting agency works typically in three phases. Phase 1, Discovery: 4-8 weeks of workshops with your team, process analysis, use case identification. Cost: €5,000-€15,000. Output: concept document with 'recommendations for AI deployment'. Phase 2, Pilot: 2-4 months pilot project with one selected use case, often based on open source tools (LangChain, OpenAI API). Cost: €25,000-€50,000. Output: a running pilot that often doesn't scale. Phase 3, Roll-out: 4-8 months scaling the pilot to other use cases. Cost: €50,000-€200,000 depending on depth. Output: a productive system, often with high maintenance effort for updates. Total duration typically: 12-18 months from workshop to productive. Total cost: €80,000-€265,000. Plus running costs for hosting, LLM API calls, maintenance. The model works for enterprises with industry-atypical requirements, for DACH SMBs with standard use cases it's oversized.

Platform-with-consulting, the SMB way

Instead of an external AI consulting agency, the consulting comes with the platform, built-in, industry-specific, immediately deployable. Specifically at Rinqo: first, 7 industry templates (doctor, lawyer, tax advisor, trades, property management, real estate, hairdresser) with pre-built use cases, example dialogues, industry-specific compliance notes. Second, setup wizard guiding through all steps: choose template, import knowledge base from your website, assign phone number or embed chat widget, start test run. Third, knowledge OS that automatically learns from your website, you don't need to engage a knowledge engineer, the system extracts standard knowledge automatically. Fourth, customer success team from Pro tier supporting growth or new use cases, no new consulting contract, no statement of work. Trade-off vs. classic consulting: less customized. Advantage: productive from day 1, 25-100x cheaper, and the team learns during deployment instead of before.

When do you need platform support instead of consulting?

At Rinqo we distinguish two escalation levels. Level 1: standard setup. You follow the wizard, choose your industry template, the agent is productive after 10 minutes. No external consulting needed. This level covers most SMB setups. Level 2: platform support during scaling. When your volume grows (from 100 to 1,000 calls per month) or you add new channels (from phone to phone + chat + email), you get support directly in the dashboard, best-practice recommendations, knowledge base performance optimization, integration setup with your CRM. When your use case is so specific that none of the 7 standard templates fit (e.g. own industry logic like pharmacy emergency triage), contact us about a custom configuration. We discuss together what's possible and what it costs, typically significantly below classic agency day rates.

What to do if you do want external consulting

Some SMBs have consulting needs that go beyond platform setup, process consulting, change management when introducing AI, or strategy workshops with the leadership team. For these cases we recommend bringing in a specialized AI consultancy. Watch for three criteria when choosing: first, tools experience, the consultant should know your platform or be willing to learn it, instead of just delivering theoretical AI strategy. Second, pricing transparency, clarify day rate and output expectations before kickoff. Generalists typically cost €1,800-€2,500 per day, specialists from €800-€1,200. Third, fast start, discovery workshops over 4-8 weeks are often unnecessary for standard setups. We're building a network of implementation partners specializing in Rinqo over time, until then: contact us via the contact form, we share what we know.

AI implementation in mid-market, the pragmatic path

When you introduce AI in your SMB, there are two paths. Classic path: strategy workshop, concept, pilot, roll-out. Duration 12-18 months, cost €80,000-€265,000. Pragmatic path: choose one use case, set up platform, productive in 10 minutes, then iterate. At Rinqo, AI implementation runs in four steps. Step one: choose use case. What's your biggest pain point, missed calls (reception agent), full email inbox (triage agent), applicant inquiries without response (reception agent for HR), customer reactivation (acquisition agent)? Step two: choose industry template. 7 templates available (medical practice, lawyer, tax advisor, trades, property management, real estate, hairdresser). If your industry isn't there, custom setup via wizard. Step three: import knowledge base. From your website, PDF manuals or existing FAQ. Step four: test run. Test calls yourself, check answers, fine-tune knowledge base. After 10-30 minutes the first agent is productive. Scaling happens iteratively, additional use cases (chat, email) are added as needed, without a new setup marathon. That's the decisive difference to classic AI implementation: no big-bang project, but continuous growth along pain points.

Sven builds Rinqo from a simple observation: most AI tools are designed in San Francisco and sold in Berlin. The workshop in the Black Forest, the veterinary practice in Salzburg, the family hotel in Tyrol get software that doesn't speak their language. Rinqo flips that. On European servers, set up in ten minutes, in twenty languages. With templates built by the industries themselves.
