Why pharmacies need an AI agent.
Pharmacies have high call volume (50-100 calls per day at mid-size pharmacy) running parallel to counter advice. Standard inquiries are prescription availability, order status and simple advice. Complex advice remains pharmacist domain.
Counter staff must do parallel advice and phone
Standard information blocks pharmacist for complex advice
Long wait queues lead to hangups
Delivery service inquiries must be coordinated without pharmacist time
“
When three customers are standing at the counter and the phone rings, my pharmacist can't handle both. Callers wait on hold and often hang up.
How the phone agent works for pharmacies.
Your agent takes every call, classifies by concern. Standard information he answers from your knowledge base and, if connected, by looking up your inventory management system. Complex advice he escalates immediately to the counter. Delivery service inquiries he captures with delivery address and time preference and hands over by email to your team.

Honest answers to real concerns.
The four questions every practice owner asks us before they start.
Is the pharmacy allowed to delegate advice?
Standard availability and order-status information is not pharmaceutical advice, an AI may provide it. Pharmaceutical advice (interactions, dosage) remains the pharmacist's duty, the agent escalates immediately to the counter.
What if the agent gives a wrong interaction answer?
It doesn't, the agent is trained to escalate interaction questions to the counter immediately. Standard reply: 'Interaction questions are handled by the pharmacist's advice. Shall I put you through or book a consultation?'
Connection to the pharmacy inventory management?
If your pharmacy system (such as ADG or Lauer-Fischer) has an open interface, it can be connected via REST API or webhooks, we set that up on request.
